28PCC: Chemistry in 3D: Discovering Wealth, Defining Problems, Developing Solutions

10-12 April 2013
Siliman University, Dumaguete, Negros Oriental

The world is faced with many critical issues that need scientifically-based approaches, and scientists are working hard to respond to the challenges. What are our own scientists doing?

The 28th Philippine Chemistry Congress will highlight ongoing scientific activities in the country and recognize our chemists whose work allow us to discover the value of our resources, show how chemistry is part of the problems that confront us, and in the solutions being developed to address them. Issues involving Chemistry that the Congress proposes to cover include Energy, the Environment, Industry, Agriculture and Food Sustainability, Health and Nutrition.

Since this Congress is hosted by the Philippine Association of Chemistry Teachers, it is dedicated to the Chemistry educators, who are embarking in the K to 12 program, and whose appreciation of the importance of the science that they teach will help nurture the inquisitive and innovative minds of future scientists.
